Open to all carvers, this year's bird is a Greater Yellowlegs to be judged as a gunning shorebird. See gunning shorebird rules in the show brochure.  There will be a $400.00 purchase award, and the California Rice Commission shall get the first place bird.  Cash awards for 2nd and 3rd place are $100.00& $50.00 respectively.
